Late trimming?

To trim or not to trim, that is the question! As I enter week 10 of my grow the canopy has be come a little crowded with some fan leaves and depriving some bud sights on much needed light. Is it ok at this late stage to clean up the canopy and remove these fan leaves? Cheers!

I would advise not to remove any healthy green leaves at all. They are the only source of energy production that makes your plant grow. For a more detailed explanation of why I recommend not removing any healthy green leaves and only removing yellow leaves, please read the answer I gave to "Basement grow 05"/ "Early flower", a few questions beneath yours on this very page, to a very similar question that he/she asked about this exact same topic. Hope this helps,.... Organoman.

I defoliate below the main codas, but mostly because my lighting is not adequate. It seems to help me, but yours looks good.

You can always defoliate, just keep it to a minimum and she won't stress at all. You could easily remove 10 fan leaves without her noticing much.

Absolutely nothing harmful about trimming up or defoliating certain fan leaves. Hope this helps. Cheers Happy Growing! 🌱🎄🔥
