Those types of pots are really not as good as they may seem, they don't breakdown easily, restricting the roots severely.
Seeds need constant moisture to germinate, but once they do, they will open up on their own and in their own time, it doesn't really matter if they take a day or three to open up properly. I suggest using black plastic pots, about 4 inches across and 5 inches deep as being ideal for starting seedlings. They provide enough room for about 3 weeks growth and enough room for good root development. With careful use any cleaning between crops, will last for many years.
