Autos have a set timer on their lifespan so topping might give a smaller yield due to the auto focusing energy recovering instead of growing but all strains are different some more vigorous than others so it’s really up to you

It depends on what you want the plant to do. There’s no right answer. I’ve done lst and topping. I’ve had great yields with both. Experiment and have fun.

I always top all my autos once, as soon as possible. First topping when they have 3 nodes (10cm, about 20 days after seeding), further topping if they are growing too fast, but rarely. For size control, super cropping works fine until the first week of flowering. But LST is better.

Low stress training is the best for auto's. Topping can take to much time to recover and will most likely reduce yield's. Happy Growing

I'm topping mine and treat them same as regular ones. It's up 2 you to decide the shape and size. You can check my diaries to see topped autos vs regular ones. Remember that autos has a fixed life time so if you do decide to top do it before week 4

I've topped and have done lst and I've lst&topped the same auto. I'd say it depends on the strain. But lst seems most beneficial.

It's not suggested... It doesn't guarantee the plant's growth will be stunted, but if it does you lose significant portion of yield. Autos are on a genetic timer, but stress will make it go off early or the plant can stop growing for a few days. I can't tell you percentage of risk... I would assume it's a really bad idea for a large grow op, but a personal grow with a few plants... meh, might not see one have a problem. More than a few ppl top and train autos. I'd make sure it's a happy plant before doing it, though. If first time growing, let it go as it will... learn a baseline.. then, in future grows alter how you do things and compare results in a more apples to apples manner. if you don't know what it will yield normally, can't know if what you did improved anything. (sample size just as important)
