I remove all the leaves that are blocking bud sites from direct light. Moving the leaf around to see where it casts a shadow can help in questionable areas.

Advice on defoliation/LST - getting too chaotic hereIs it fine to cut off some of the big fan leaves this early or should i just tie them down to expose the tops to more light? What leaves are ok to remove?Hi! Is it fine to remove the upper fan leaves on this plant as well or should I wait thill the side branches get bigger leaves? I removed the lowers leaves after LST so nothing touches the soil, but some of them are blocking a bit light for the new growth. Thanks!
