Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill 😞

Why should the tap root grow for some days before potting?Not a problem, but I'm eager to learn: Most tutorials recommend to let the tap root grow to about 2.5 cm before potting. Does anybody have a rationale for that? To me this sounds counter-productive (light protection for roots, correct orientation of seed). What am I missing?

Transplanting I just transplanted yesterday into 5gallon pots, do they look ok ? I dropped Runtz onto itself. The others seemed okay even though soil went everywhere. Not sure what to do to make sure all the roots & plant are healthy still. Any suggestions?

Roots coming through FabPot ,normal ?.Hi guys is it normal to have roots forcing through the fabPot ?, this pot is 15-18 L (filled 15-16L) She is sat (blue dream auto) on a tray aprox 3cm deep, I usually water till it drains and fills the tray ,this is sucked up in a few hours ,watering 1l 24hrs as shes drinking
