I feel its best to do this before switching to flower or after the stretch.
Only need to remove big leaves blocking light and air to the bud sites.

If there isn’t light getting through you can defoliate whenever. If you are planning to do a big one 3 ish weeks in to flower try to keep this one very low stress, anything thats necessary, not more than 10-20%.

When should I defoliate and/or prune?I'm trying to Scrog and Defoliate to improve yield and quality. When should I turn to 12/12 cycle and when to heavily defoliate?
