Likes or no likes? That is the question

Why are you feeling so insecure? If you are proud of your grow, shouldn't that be enough? I've never even thought to LOOK at how many "likes" I have because it just doesn't matter to me. You might consider entering your grow in a contest - it DOES look amazing... take a look at Diary of the Month or Newbie of the Month... and enter whichever one you feel you have a chance of winning... that will also get your grows some notice, if it's that important to you! Good luck - as I say, this looks great and it'll be one helluva harvest!

e.g. most of my likes are from friends. i don't take pretty pictures. i'd like to think a few of my grows turned out well, though :P Plenty of duds too.

If you want more likes / views per week per diary, that requires being social, on top of decent pictures and decent outcomes. (or, what looks to be like inflation caused by bots for 80-90% of the top "like-getters" ... but this is not much different than most, who also benefit from cartels that like each others stuff simply for being friends... we all benefit from the latter in some shape or form but in much different scales... but when ppl shot up 10k, 50k, or more in a short period of time then that rate drastically changes - again, without any cause - it's clear that most of that was automated, lol.) the strain you grow can have a big impact. I've only had 1 no-brand plant garner any interest from the peanut gallery. if new, give it time... chat some people up that look interesting to you... you'll be invited to a very large chat channel if active in the community. Don't run from the "boof" lingo, lol. Network soe more.. help each other out in the garden and maybe on the website too. Without bots, that's still how most of the top of leaderboard got there too.. some clearly do exceptional work and got there by different means, too.... but most don't stand out like that, simple facts. Pretty pictures/videos matter too. Get some branding invovled, etc... they like that sort of brown-nosing on a site dedicated to marketing pot plants.

Like Hashy said Cover photo and title. Also When you add a week you have to consider what time of day it is. Once you save the week it will be displayed on the home page under Recommended. So if your adding new weeks during strange hours it will not get as many views. Week 'Edits" do not do this. It has to the the first save for the week. Happy Growing

It's all on the cover picture for me. If the cover picture looks good I'll look at the diary. If the cover picture doesn't look great I skip it. Some people are stingy with likes also.
