Size of pots doesn't impact quality but should help keep the plant smaller due to rootbound. Still I have seen my padawan growing auto in 3l pot and they were still 90cm 1m15 if you're watering with the right frequencies and doing things well plant can still grow big even in small pots

I'd do min 4L or ruffly 1Gal pots as the smallest ones for autos. ideal 12L 3Gal is my go to. I'd max it out aorund 26L or 7Gal. It should help keep them small. I did notice when I was growing in smaller fabric pots using dry amendments it was harder to feed them once they really got established. Liquid feed maybe better for this or solid pots to prevent evaporation from the sides. Good Luck!

The quality won't be affected but the grow might be... you might get into rootbound issues. If you want to keep them small (here, I'm reading you want to keep them SHORT), do lots of LST or SCROG them... they take to this quite easily and you'll have a better handle on everything - PLUS you'll get a better harvest. I don't grow my autos in anything smaller than a 3 gallon. Good luck!

Yes, smaller pots force not only smaller plant, but for starting grower brings all pallet of issues .... I go with 40 liters autos and it's only way to force them to go big, but I managed on properly planed grow force 200+ g a plant with 100w for each plant on average in organic soil grow ... I rather would go with one big, than 3 small. And would do photos too ;)) Less electronics, better smell, frost and planing.
