You've done what you could do and now only time will tell... germinating in a glass of water or with paper towels brings an inherent danger of just what you're describing... one way to avoid that calamity is to simply germinate directly in your medium... just make sure the soil is moist (not WET) ... it might take longer to see results, to see if you've got a dud or a plant, but you won't have the danger of breaking the tap root. High Beardy, No one can tell you if she will make it because we don't know the damage. I would give her 3 days, don't do anything and just check every day if her leaves will show up. If she doesn't show up after 3 days she did not make it. Goodluck!

I would start a new seed asap for the pot. it is not likely it will recover, not to say it won't, but highly unlikely. and if it does make it, it will be heavily damaged or stunted. Just to young to successfully recover from that kind of stress.
