Second, the plants can flower only after reaching sexual maturity, when they grow the first preflowers (pistils or hairs), this usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, so changing to 12/12 this early will achieve nothing, except slow down the plant development since now they have less light hours every day to work with. Even more, after changing to 12/12 it usually takes a week for the stretch to really take off.
