purple strains, especially autos, usually dont take well to training, but some do like FastBuds BlackBerry... this one doesnt though, this one, purple punch , and the other purps dont really like training... as for side branches, that's a phenotype thing, but these genetics just arent that prone to lateral growth... i'm thinking of filling a tent with either this one or the new purple punch in 1L pots and doing a Sea of Green, strength in numbers when the genetics are like this, right? Hope this helps ! 🚀

FB have develop genetics that grow differently than most photoperiods, hats off to them. That is why most grower LST their plants. Try to tie down the main stem and you'll see explosive growth from lower nods.

Hi @Questpeace! Light penetration, environmental conditions, and training techniques can have an impact on the side-growth, but the main criteria is genetics. When I have a strain that is fully growing vertically during the vegetative stage, I usually TOP/FIM that main shoot in order to generate more main stems. However at this stage it's too late to try any surgery on your plant, just try to increase light penetration on the lowest parts (by defoliating a bit if necessary) and try to bend the side stems that are too close to the main cola. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

All depends on the strain and how she grows. Some strains show more apical dominance than others and this strain is 1 of those. That's why most growers try to form an even canopy. Some LST, easier said than done 😄, will promote even bud growth. Happy growing!

That is normal. Many strains, have a strong apical dominance. Actually, marihuana as a whole, have an apical dominance tendency
