What is the white stuff on my clay pebbles? I think it's some sort of salt build up but entirely sure. I flushed them out so we will see if it happens again this week.

@MrMunchies it's a good idea to keep the nutrient level in the reservoir at the bottom of your net pot Keeping the levels too high can cause problems with salt buildups as you have already found out but can also cause Root rot problems as well

That is salt build up, should not affect plants too much as they are pulling from the res below, I suggest that you cover the top of your pots with a non light penetrating material preferably reflective to prevent light leakage into your tote. I too use big box brand totes but the yellow tops shine light right through. I use a reflective insulation that also help keep water temps down.
