Leave humidity dome on seedlings?

Once the seedlings pop can I poke some more holes in the cups and leave them on for a while longer to maintain high humidity or will that put them at risk of rotting?

be sure to make several holes, the girls already need oxygen, but no problem leaving your little domes for another week ✌️

PS = if the first leaves have developed, the girls will seek moisture in the air, which is a good thing as long as the roots do not sink to the bottom of the pot; but that said it encourages them to do so by watering lightly and very closely to the stem. After a week, 10 days max, remove the dome, so that they can develop their roots

Hello friend. In my experience the benefits of a humidity dome are in its ability to keep the soil wet rather than keeping the humidity high for the seedling. I find that its uses are mostly for germination or cloning. It is possible that you may be damaging the roots if the soil is too wet and the roots cannot access oxygen due to the dome. I also think its fine to keep the domes on if you want with the poked holes as long as you are not drowning your plant. Hope that helps a bit and happy growing 😁. Good luck with the grow homie.
