Added a picture of a bud that I pulled off, appeared burnt and dry. After taking it down the top of this bud was dry enough to grind and smoke. Had anyone had this before? The rest of the plant is still wet and plant like? See pictures....

That Bud looks rotten...how was the Taste=?.... did not taste anything=?its also possible that the top branch had a crack and wasnt quite alive.... normally you see it in the structure of the bud ... if the stucture is strange and muddy you have budrot... if its dry and solid ( inside too) ther was acrack in the topbranch....and she dried. icant see it in the pictures

Seems that something blocked the supply of that bud. As I see some grey-colored bud leaves it could possibly be mould but I see no fluffy funghus. Could also be some stem problem on this bud that prevented further nutrition to that bud. I would not recommend smoking it before breaking up that bud and take a closer look whats inside. Also get a nose of the smeel, if it smeels different, don´t use it.

Hey Fruitgrower, how are you. Its been a while ago. I see you made it to the finish👌🏾 To answer your question, the buds you talk about was probably half dead already and didnt get any nutrients for a while. The plant does this to prevent that everything dies of so it lets the weakest things go first. I thinks the broken stem is the main reason. Good luck on your next grow my friend, and always keep on growing. Peace 👍🏾

@Fruitgrower It could have been subjected to botrytis Ive had a few buds do this a fair while back that looked like they had died and had well dried parts on them turned out to be budrot Any suspected moldy material should be disposed of and I'd chop her down asap
