Does b-52 or sensizym cause slime brown in the root zone? My plants got it two days after I mixed new reservoir with sensi bloom 4ml/l b-52 vodoo juice piranha and Sensizym at 2ml/l ratio!Disgusting
Also it’s possible to see cumulative residue in water tank that is light proof

keeping your water cool? if warmer, becomes a breeding ground.
a little staining is no problem, but slime means bacteria etc. either use h2o2 or some sort of beneficial microbs to compete for resources. 1 or the other, not both.
try finding a volume that allows for frequent enough topping off to keep it fresher longer? i find topping off at 50% is better than letting it draw down near minimum as far as how long before i need to clean it.

I don't have any experience with either but will recommend getting some Botanicare Hydroguard to fix the problem (and get rid of root rot if you've got it) ... And I will also ask if you think you should increase aeration as this is often the cause of problems...

Yes almost all nutrients leave residue if left long enough. Some worse than others but yes that's why its advisable to flush your reservoirs every couple of weeks organic feeds will leave more residue and mineral feeds will leave less or crystilize

Root rot :(I believe I have a case of root rot. Pic attached. I just added Orca in the morning, and noticed orange foam and these roots literally hours later. Water was still under 70 from the res change sunday afternoon. Currently 68.
I rinsed in tap, they look a little better. ;(

Persistent issues - wilted leaves, light-green splotches, brown rootsMy plant has these issues. I've rinsed off the roots in case it was nutrient buildup on roots, which I still believe to be the case. I have given this plant a good amount of nutrients the week before. Does this appear to be a deficiency? Any ideas?

How prevent root rot in dwc sterile reswas wondering what everyone uses in there dwc to keep there roots happy... I been using beneficial bacteria southern ag garden friendly fungicide...But have see people using h202 and was wondering how that worked and what kind of h202 they use..I have also used hydroguard along with keeping water temps
in check...southern ag is just cheaper then hydroguard ..Just looking for someone who runs a sterile dwc reservoir and how they go about doing it and in cost effective way.. I have also seen people say they have used pool shock kinda sacred of that.... ON my next grow wanting try run a sterile reservoir and help would be appreciated5y ago

Great white with brownish stuff on rootsHi guys,
I have been using 1/4 tea spoon great white powder on dwc. the first 2 days I get a lot of brown stuff on the roof, and 6th day it has dropped off but I still have them at the core. 1. should I wash them off every res change or leave it? & the brown stuff is normal

1. pH dropping 6 to 5.3 in a day, changed new nutes still happening 700ppm/ec 1.4 staying same no change.
2. Roots doesn't stink or smell, my roots has always look like that using biodiesel and seaweed

I think I had a common problems with my LSD-25: the water level. Did I have to set my water level just below the tip of the roots when they appeared? I had nice roots the 1st week, I set my water to keep the roots in the water but she looked like she drowning.Week 2

using 3% peroxide?!?!can someone help me out with understanding what i can do to get rid of root rot in dwc... im using cyco plat nutrient line and herd that you can use 3% peroxide to solve this issue.
atm all that i can get in my country is a group 4 fungicide called rot stop...
