Hydro roots question

Like most have already said.. you would smell it if you had some root rot. When you open your res if it smells like seaweed, then you probably have a problem. Run your hands through the roots, if the stuff is slimy and the roots come off easily, then it is probably root rot. Organics like Zeus Juice, liquid Karma (I use) stain the roots pretty good. Humic acids are black and they love roots. good luck and happy growing!

I would be more concerned if it smelled and looked slimey. Your plant looks healthy, its probably just nutrient staining. Adding beneficial bacteria like hydroguard helps prevent root root too

They look okay. If there is no "foul" odour and the water is not "slimey" then you are okay.. I find often my roots get discolored after a few weeks in the hydro set ups. If your roots smell like "dirt" you should be a-ok.. I hope this helps and happy growing.
