No, the life of an auto flower is too short to do any topping or too much stressing of the plant. It’s just gonna take away from Bud production

You can do whatever you want. Result will tell you at the end . I saw more harm, than any benefit, especially if soil grows. I tend not to harm in any way auto till final flower strech is over. No topping, even transplantation in flower : growdiaries.com/diaries/129716-grow-journal-by-asnoriu

Its tricky, if you new to autos its best to stick with LST, Autos can be topped there is nothing preventing them from getting topped, however they go into shock and flower early for many stressors and its why most ppl say do not top autos. Its the same reason why a lot of people say not to transplant autos or feed them to much, any stress nutrient or transplanting can cause issues. I have accidentally topped an auto in my day and purposely topped a few, the accidental one turned out well. the others not so much. I have also came to understand some strains are more resistant and can be topped, so if you have not grown out this stain before I would not top. I would also not top any older auto genetics when they where first coming out on the market. here's a few blogs on LST growdiaries.com/journal/how-to-do-low-stress-training-lst-on-cannabis-plants growdiaries.com/journal/how-to-lst-cannabis-a-simple-guide growdiaries.com/journal/ultimate-guide-to-lst-cannabis Best Of Luck!

No LST is better and you can create the same benefits with LST when you bend the branches down so they all grow on an equal height. When you top a plant then you want to give them time to recover. Autoflowers do not give you this time, they will start flowering while not recovered fully and this will decrease yield.

It is possible to Top autoflowering plants. However i would only recommend that experienced growers attempt to Top autoflowering. And even then only with strains they are familiar with and have grown a few times. Topping stresses the plant and can result in a slowing of growth. In Photoperiod plants this is usually not a big problem as you can allow the plant as much time as it needs to recover from the stress. But autoflowers start flowering after about 4 weeks. Meaning the plant can lose up to a week of that growth time. Which can result in a reduced harvest. It can be done, but it is more difficult to get the result you would hope for. Personally i fine Low Stress Training to be very effective and less risky. i combine wire tie downs and a trellis net to achieve similar results.
