Hello. After 30 years of growing, I've found my first twin. Can they be separated? Have you heard of it being done or have you done it or should I just cut the weaker stem out? What other advice can you give on this matter. Chuck.

Are they separate or conjoined? If so separate safely. If joined them I'd grow as is to see how it turned out. It's rare so a documented experiment would be interesting. If you are only growing that one then maybe start another. I feel if you cut it off there is a big chance both will die. They are fragile. Let em ride dude

Usually 1 dominates.. depends on how the root situation plays out... you'll see the results soon. if you have time and spare resources to have fun, do what you want, but otherwise, i'd cut the weak one as soon as it's obvious.

In 40 years of growing, I have had a few twins. Have tried growing both sprouts together, growing only the strongest one and/or the best looking twin. I do not think it is possible to seperate them with any degree of success. Every time I gave them a chance to see what happens, the results were a waste of time..........either weird flowers, failing to flower, hermies or just did not grow properly. These days, any twins get culled by me, quick smart..........they just are not worth wasting time with.......life is too short to grow "maybes"! I believe the effed up genetics associated with twins leads to effed up plants, period.
