Hey Try, long time no see. Smart pots and air pots promotes faster growth because they breath. Also you do not have root bond gets air pruned. I use the net pots but is a huge pain to transplant, in my case is ok because I don’t tranplant. The drawback is that is also hard to move around if you do this a lot, the airpots do nit have this issues... Cheers best wishes.

Hello! I think you should not transplant and topping them when your making them entering the flowering stage, And I think you shoud let them in veg for more a week or two, because you didn't let them recovery 100% and make a solid structure after the topping... Do the pots have the same capacity? Maybe the pouches have too much soil on it and the roots could not get enough oxygen and then comes nitrogen issues too possibly... But I prefer plastic too.

I use fabric pots only for the final pot, because they tear the roots when transplanting from them. The main reason I use them is because they dry out a lot quicker than plastic pots, meaning a lot more feedings before they need to be flushed. It also works in favour when flushing too, as you're able to flush more times within 2-3 weeks (or however long you flush for), because they dry quicker

It's a matter of personal preference. Some people love them, some hate them. I myself, prefer the old plastic pots and to transplant when needed

I prefer plastic pots , I've tried them all , air pots ( water pisses out the holes ) , root pouches didn't seem to help and I think they split , I mean where do you think the air gets in ??? They have better handles , but I think the plants prefer a solid wall .

The extra air is supposed to cause a die back of the roots to promote branching further back on the root stalk. The ones in the plastic pots just keep circling without any dying of the root so they remain clean and white
