I want to make my own seeds and already know how to do it and have the process in mind, I’ll be selecting two different strains and creating feminised pollen from one of them my question is does the plant which recieves the pollen affect genetics or would it not matter, thanks

I'm pretty sure the original poster realizes that "mothers" contribute genetically but I think they're curious if there might be certain markers/characteristics that carry ONLY in the pollen or ONLY from the flower side. Sadly, I don't know that answer and honestly I'd be suspicious of anyone who claimed to know definitively. We don't know enough about cannabis genetically to make those kind of calls. What I DO know though is if you're crossing two totally different strains your gonna create F1 hybrids that should display some hybrid vigor but there is also gonna be a lot of genetic variations in your seeds, aka several different phenotypes. If there are certain traits you're after you'll need to identify the phenos that carry it and breed those with themselves to reinforce it(aka stabilize the genetics).

Donor or receiver, they are both part of the seed making process, 50% of its genetic makeup comes from the pollen the other 50% comes from the flower it pollinates. You take DNA from one plant "pollen" and mix it with the other "flowers" and they make a mixture of the twos DNA's into a seed. So yes. plants reviving or given pollen greatly affect the genetics of the seeds. Eg, if you have og kush pollen and mix it with ak47 you will now have "og kush x ak47" cross. Could call it Assault Rifle Kush or OG47 does not mater, Same thing if its reversed and you have ak47 pollen and mix it with a og kush flower. Bother parents play a role in the outcome of the seed and determine what its going to be like. You can't expect two strains that have zero characteristics of being fruity and purple to be fruity and people in its offspring. Sure some mutations happen that might come close, but its only one in many many seeds think like 1000:1 and not all that common. Good Luck!

You serious? You came from your mom did she affect your genetics? See this is why some humans should "NOT" breed!
