m0useanswered grow question 7 months ago Donor or receiver, they are both part of the seed making process, 50% of its genetic makeup comes from the pollen the other 50% comes from the flower it pollinates. You take DNA from one plant "pollen" and mix it with the other "flowers" and they make a mixture of the twos DNA's into a seed.
So yes. plants reviving or given pollen greatly affect the genetics of the seeds.
Eg, if you have og kush pollen and mix it with ak47 you will now have "og kush x ak47" cross. Could call it Assault Rifle Kush or OG47 does not mater,
Same thing if its reversed and you have ak47 pollen and mix it with a og kush flower. Bother parents play a role in the outcome of the seed and determine what its going to be like. You can't expect two strains that have zero characteristics of being fruity and purple to be fruity and people in its offspring. Sure some mutations happen that might come close, but its only one in many many seeds think like 1000:1 and not all that common.
Good Luck!
