When do I harvest ?

How do I know when to harvest? Is it when the trichomes are 10 percent amber on the main cola or 10 Percent amber for the whole plant?

@ProfDoty Hi mate I had a look at the diary pics and I would have to say 2 weeks for the Purple one and probs about 3 for the other one I say this because they both look like they have some fattening up yet to do Good luck with your Harvest

Another way to tell hold a shade leaf by stem bend downwards when it snaps of clean no effort there ready

Harvest?When will this be ready for chop. I’m having a hard time getting a good look at the trichomes. I know the goal is 30% amber. One plant has very few white hairs and one has quite a few can I wait for the others to come to full maturity too. I plan on using same tent to hang dry.

Drying conditions still good?Drying for 8 days and 10h No SNAP and smells a bit like grass/hey Unfortunately I have to change my conditions from 16.1c 65% rh (rh was slow raising from 55%to 65%) To now 16.6c 51%rh. Is this still good for the last days? Last drying took me 16 days.

In the dark before harvest?Is it imperative to put them in the dark before harvesting? I've built myself a dry box that will keep them dark, cool, and the air circulating. I still have plants growing so I can't off the lights and I don't have anywhere else to set them.

Thoughts on reducing temp and humidity in this dry tent?I dry my bud in one of these HerbDryers that has an extractor fan. Because the surrounding air is still at 27 degrees celsius and RH at 67%, those values are the same inside the HerbDryer. Any thoughts on how I might reduce the temp and RH inexpensively?

Should I harvest a bit early?I had some nutrient problems early on, so a lot of my leaves are dead. My LST didn't go very well so some of the bigger colas don't have a lot of room to get additional light. I'm thinking it may be time to go ahead and cut and harvest. Trichomes look pretty cloudy. Trichomes r reading about 90/10, 80/20 cloudy Amber but still white pistols on buds, is this normal? Should I jus go by the trichs?My trichomes r telling me a week or 2 but there is still white hairs popping out, still go by the trichomes? Is it normal for the buds to keep on popping out white pistols? Advice opinions appreciated.

No airflow for drying Im drying here in the box as i cant use the grow tent yet. Is it an issue that there is no airflow? I haven’t had any issues with mould or anything. The average temp is 22 celcius and 55% humidity in the box.
