when should i start topping?? the ladies are currently 3 weeks old and are starting to grow nodes so do i wait for those nodes to grow or?? any help would be appreciated as ive never grown photoperiods before so this is all new 2 me man.

Hey mate, you want to wait until there is at least 3 nodes before you top them. Your plant will be able to recover quicker this way. Looking at your plant its probably read to top once the new growth comes through a bit more. Here's a link to a good guide https://www.growweedeasy.com/topping-fiming

I personally like topping at 7 nodes. Buy anything after 3 and you should be okay

Hey @DaHomie!
If you are planing LST, you can start from now on. Just be careful to use width wires to avoid damages on the stems.
I recommend fimming or topping in this type of techniques since it will help controlling the height of the plant.
Just be gentle and don't worry if you accidentally break any stem. Just let it be if its not totally broken or use adhesive tape if you think she will not be able to recover by itself.

Fuck. First week of 12-12 and I almost accidentally top this plant. Broke the stem enough to cause it to bleed on one side. Think it will hold/heal?Accidentally broke one side of this stem while attempting LST through a lattice. My idea was, instead of simply topping, to bend the plant downwards into the lattice to keep it down. Problem I'm trying to solve is plants keep growing too close to lights. Thoughts? ✌️

Should I defoliate after topping with LST ?I just did my first topping and she took it very well, no signs of stress and actually growing really fast I think.
I was thinking about LST the top colas so the lower ones can reach that height, should I cut the top leaves shadowing the lower future colas?
