Starting Training

I'm currently worried about my older plant set that seem to be constantly having the leaf edges curl and seem to be a little droopy and a little too dark green. Also I feel like I should be doing some sort of training. I would love to have some feedback on what you all think. ✌️

1st your infos says "hydro" but it's coco growing , they are similar but not the same . So you'r asking what sort of training can you do ? but you already started to LST your girls so why not continuing like that ? You can apply a topping to help for the lst and build a shope , once the tops will be removed then the lower branchs will thive more and higgher so you can build an even canopy , so when the lateral branchs will be tall enough you will be ablle to bend them with a rope or anything else. Dark green foliage can be due to a Nitrogen excess but in your case I fell like you can't as you've cut the Floragrow so I guess you did it beuse of the Cal mag Plus that may contain Nitrogen , if not then go back to the original GHE feeding char. The dark green colour of the foliage must be coming from you purple light n purple light are well known to induce dark green foliage and to limit the stretch between the nodes so you get shorter plants. Droopy leaves can be a sign of over/under watering and as your perlite is tuning green due to some algue then I guess that you must over water a bit or at least you've done it in the past , so the droopy leaves can come from that while the edges of the leaves curling up is due to your lack of humidity ( 50% ) when you need a 70% level.

It's hard to give you a real answer with no data of your feeding strength. For soil growing, it is recommended to use an EC / PPM meter, for coco and hydro, it is a must, or you will always be guessing if you are over or under feeding. Curled leaves edges and dark green foliage is a sign of over feeding, particularly, nitrogen (grow nutes). The easiest training techniques are both LST and TOPing; both can be used both in photoperiod strains and autoflowers, although for autos, you can only top before the 5th pair of leaves fully open and no later than that. Keep in mind that every time you TOP, the plant will need 7 to 10 days to recover.

My answer will change depending on whether or not these strains are actually auto-flowering or photoperiodic. You're feed sched. says autoflowering but the details are that they're custom strains??? If they're autos - at this point the best you can do is LST in my opinion. You're too late at week 5 to look at topping or fimming as an option so stick with tying that main stem over to the side as much as possible in small increments as she pushes out more nodes. If they're photos - you still have the option of any training method while they're in veg. Your chosen method will be dependant upon how much longer you want to wait before flipping to flower. If you're prepared to be patient and wait another 3-4 weeks then you could easily top these girls at just about any node (I'd suggest the third or fourth) and supplement with LST to get max exposure and new growth tips over the next month. If you want to minimize your veg. time to another 1-2 weeks as opposed to 3-4 then you could also FIM the top of 'er and again use some LST to spread things out. Either option is totally viable for you if they're photos but don't wait much longer. As far as your concerns/issues with the plants are concerned - nope, think they're looking pretty healthy overall. I'm not seeing any major concerns that would indicate a problem and if growth rate is good - I wouldn't worry too much. Hope it helps and good luck👍
