Top now or wait? Growing 4th node.

I'm about a week into veg, plants look to be about 4-6 inches tall. Most are going into their 4th node. Should I wait longer or is now a good time? Also, should I wait for all plants to be at around the same stage or should I top the ones that are ready first?

Hi @facingbacktofront wait for the fifth or sixth node. the plant needs to be well developed for the stress of the top, top too early can block the growth of the plant and delay it a lot. good luck mate 👍

I topped my current grow at 9 days. Then again a few days later. Had one then split naturally for 7 colas. Barely into my 6th week and my vertical is only like 12-13" but the buds are already fattening up about the size of a 50 cent piece but the Trichomes are really stacking these last two days. AND THATS AFTER I TRIED TO KILL HER by feeding her while I was half asleep and giving 5xs the dose of nutes. Lol luckily I caught it and flushed but that lost me height. Each plant will talk to you about how they will react. Just listen to it. Watch her reactions.

You should top the ones that are ready and wait for the others to be ready before. It’s not recommended to that early , you need to top after the 5th node (early) or 7th node (average) to top or it could slow your grow

Topping above the 6th node is the best. It gives the plant time to grow strong enough to endure the topping. My favorite part, it gives you a bunch of tops especially if you LST.

New nodes after topping very small, should I top more?I topped my plants a few days ago, but just the tips when the side nodes where just as little as a few mm. I've seen a lot of you topping like a whole bunch of the top. I mainlined my plants but I dont know if I should top them again so the nodes under the top become main nodes.
