Topping Too Extreme?

Fleetwood

I was trying to even out the main growth area, as this plant stretched between 5&6th nodes. It looked like a palm tree. It's done now, but should I treat the wound?

Your topping is pretty clean even if like you said your plant was looking like a lil tree before that : it's now looking like a lil bush which is not that bad. Fortunatly you did your Xtrem topping on a photoperiodic plant so she'll recover soon enough. I hope that you have kept the apex to try to clone it ! You can put something to treat the wond but if you don't then the part you'v cut will dry just before the node and naturally "heal" , I know that there is a red kind of "glue" that peoples are putting on the plants scares or that they are using to make grafting : sorry I don't know the word in english to tell what it is.

If your tools are clean and disinfected before use, then you never have to worry about the wound and it can heal by itself. You could use aloe vera or even honey

Good looking plant you have there! I think you will be fine but if you choose to treat it you can use wound treating gel tha'ts specific for this type of things or seaweed spray is good to and theres couple more stuff to use if you want. They won't hurt the plant that's for sure and they might even ease the stress that's caused by the cutting and maybe defo later. And there is always small chance of infection getting in if you hav not desinfected your cutting tool properly. I just wash my scissors with water before cutting and I remove the leaves with my fingernail and so far no infections whats so ever.
