Hey everyone, I had this issue last time already when I popped about 40 seeds and had to discard more of half of them because of this issue. I pop them as usual in water and put them in my living soil 0,5L pots. As soon as they show on the surface they look like shit... any idea?

hot soil? a little fugliness early on that it grows out of? tad to much light (node spacing staying tight)? drip soemthing on it? i'd wager the living soil is too much for seedlings since you are saying 50% are coming out looking like this... looks like poor drainage/aeration characteristics too... but that would be a seperate issue.

Recommend not germinating seeds In soil with so much going on. The specific microorganisms required to breakdown sawdust and wood require to be fed nitrogen, potentially leeching available nitrogen from plants roots. The more reactions there are going on the higher the microorganisms contribute to a soils ec, and raises temps, possible she is just still a little to hot for tiny seed to handle right away.

Looks like that 1 is carrying something.not sure if all seeds are kept together touching or not storeing them in a cooldry place? Maybe a slight dose of peroxide in the germination water might help.. Good luck
