Yes you should defoliate whatever the fan leafs are blocking the light straight on to those buds that would encourage bigger and better flower . hope this information help have a happy grow

Topping or LST after 1st topping Last week I topped this little baby, the plant now is growing ok. I noticed that not only the two top side branches are growing a lot, but that the ones on the node under it too. I would like to make the 4 grow and like that I don't have to top more, is it ok? See photo above on day 27. Fan leaves are curling as well as new growth. She is in well drained good quality pitting mix. Weather had been both very hot and then cold and windy. Inititially tboygh she was over watered from rain but no change when dried out. Flushed this morning.
