Oct 27 (day 57): Start of week 9. She's still looking good. She and Orla are looking so much bigger than their sisters Ophelia and Wendy. Obviously I am further along the process and know a bit more now, but I think the main reason is the LST. I did it as early as possible on the others as I'd read to start as early as possible in Veg. Both of them are short stocky plants, whereas I waited a bit longer for these two and only did the LST when they had prominent branches to pin. The result is that both these girls are much taller and better formed.
Oct 28 (day 58): Fed with 2L of water and week 5 of the nute schedule, microbes and Calmag. Flowers really are huge on her and nice white pisitils. Starting to see the formation of proper colas as the flowers group together.
Oct 29 (day 59): Looking nice and healthy still today.
Oct 30 (day 60): She's really growing fast. Still stretching and the flowers are continuing to flourish.
Oct 31 (day 61): Fed with 2L of water and week 6 of the nute schedule. Happy Halloween! ๐ป
Nov 1 (day 62): Ordered a jewellers loupe as I hear thats what most people use to inspect trichomes. Cant wait for it to arrive so I can take a look at her sisters more closely. She's just beginning to get trichomes now and will be too early to check them for harvest signs. Pistils are starting to go amber, but I refuse to panic about it this time. Her sisters pistils went amber quite early too, but they seem to be doing ok. I must admit though, hers have stayed white for longer ๐ถI continue to rotate the plant to put the lower flowers under the hottest part of the light to aid growth.
Nov 2 (day 63): End of week 9. Noticed a couple of issues today. Some tiny leaves have shrivelled up completely at the bottom of the plant. There is also a drooping green leaf and another which is very yellow and looking like its on deaths door. I'm not sure what its causing it yet (as it could be a whole myriad of things), so played it safe and fed them all with 1L of plain water today. The greenhouse is consistently warm, but with the humidity dropping the girls are getting thirsty quicker, so I don't want to overdo the nutes. Jewellers loupe arrived. What a disappointment! Its a standard one, but they are so small and you have to get so close to the plant to magnify them that the slightest shake of the hand or gust from the fan makes it impossible!!! Can see jack shit clearly and got a face full of resin for the privilege. Going to do some research on other alternatives! Annoyance level 8/10 ๐ค
NOTE: Nutrient amount is the total amount of nutes given during the week.
Anybody know what this is at the top of my bud?! Looks like a flower?! Got so many new white pistils all over which is surprising this late into flower?! Is this why she is called white widow? ๐ค
@KingSalomonsWeed, Ah I see what you mean. Yes, I think I will move it closer, but the issue is that she shares a light with Ophelia and she is a bit taller. I'm worried if I lower it too much, it will burn the top of Ophelia. I had made a note that it should be 18 inches (45cm) above the canopy at this stage. I will lower it later, thank you!
@greenhousegrowgirl, Hi, i mean that you can put down your lamp, if possible. Because the plant than becomes more energy. I mean 30 cm is full ok on an LED light.
No probs with the brown leaves. This should be old leaves. Let them on until the plant soaked them complete brown.
Ahh and more water. You cant get root putrifaction in this air pot. Give em till they drain. Use plastik bags for saucer.
They drink more than you thought.
Overall good work.
@greenhousegrowgirl,
Hi, your Ophelia is good to go for another two weeks. She has to turn the trichomes looking down also to be milky. Btw. First glasy than milky than bigger milky, golden, amber.
You use great BioBizz products. Chill you don't need to flush.
Bio means that the plant can only can use what the soil gives her.
Just give her water. And the upper buds will first ripe, than it will go down. You have the time.... ๐ WONDERFULL PLANTS
@KingSalomonsWeed, ๐๐๐ lucky you! I have run out and won't have any until these babies are ready! Please can you take a look at my 'Ophelia' diary and let me know what you think of my new trichome photos? Do you think I am flushing at the right time with a view to harvest this weekend? The trichomes look part clear, part cloudy to me ๐
