BLOOM WEEK 4 (Dec 20-26)
--------------------------------------------
_____________
Dec 20 (4L)
* 2.4 EC / 6.2 pH
Haven't measured runoffs in a while so I'm going to do that at the next watering event. I've kept the coco moist for the last few days so it shouldn't take much to get a good runoff.
I might have to 86 one of the King's Tart. It appears it is herming. I picked some sus looking balls this morning 🤬. No clue what would've done this, as the conditions have been nearly perfect and VERY consistent. We'll see...gonna keep a close eye on it.

Runoffs are high...
If it wasn't for the VPD being in range, these would've probably been cooked. If transpiration was too high here, these girls would be chugging 4+ EC. Maybe they can take it, but I don't want to risk it. I've been lucky to have near perfect conditions all the way so far.
Some of my lower leaves are getting brown and crispy but I think that's because of the fans. There's ZERO leaf tip burn and that's really surprising. Regardless, I'm still not liking the numbers.
I'd like to see the pH around 5.8-6 coming out and the EC way closer to base (+0.5) so it looks like I'm going to flush a lot sooner than the scheduled week 5. I'll use a 1.0 EC/6.3 pH mix of just CaMg and PK 14/15. With Christmas lurking I'll have to do this ASAP.

Dec 22
Missed watering because Christmas obligations have begun. All pots are basically dry. I'll be able to flush tonight. Will try to pour at least 3 gallons through each container @ 1.0 EC/6.3 pH.

Rough day. Had to destroy KT4, obvious male flowers starting to come up everywhere. This is the kind of thing that bothers me with feminized seeds. Is the breeder to blame here? The other 5 plants are thriving and everything gets the same treatment so I don't understand what I did. Tired of wasting my time on an otherwise healthy looking plant for 10+ weeks only to destroy it. Fuckin brutal.
Dumped 3 gallons through each bag and got some less intense runoffs. pH came up nicely too. I'll go back at them with full nutes once they're almost dry.
____________
Dec 24 (4L)
• 2.0 EC / 6.0 pH
• Took 4L to get 0.5L of runoff
It was surprising to see how much they drank today after the drenching they took last night. They'll get a similar feeding again tomorrow night. Might've been a calyx, but I picked something suspicious off KT5...Gotta keep a close eye on her now...I might have another one go down before weeks end 🤬
____________
Dec 25 (4L)
* 2.0 EC / 6.0 pH
* Runoff bucket @ 2.7 EC
So I think I've got both 10th Planet phenos in the room. After growing 6 of these, I know there's only two. The blueberry muffin terps are strong on one, and the gassy grape on the other. Have cuttings of both on week 2 veg. No signs of balls on KT5 but still the smallest buds of all plants and will certainly be the lowest yielder.
Although it's impossible to see from my photos, the Banana Daddy's have a distinct red tint inside all the flowers. Will try to get in there with a magnifier. I'm hoping this is a sign that we'll have DEEP, dark colours on them. They smell like a tropical fruit salad.
I clipped a few large fans blocking the middles on the bushier plants and that should be it for defol. Keeping the rest for photosynthesis and stored nutrients later in bloom. Having some big fans helps them dry a bit slower too when it's time to harvest.

Dec 26 (4L)
• 2.2 EC / 6.0 pH
• Runoff bucket @ 3.6 EC
Bittersweet week. Outside of the destroyed plant, the others are doing really well. EC is climbing pretty fast though. I saw a fungus gnat yesterday so I've been hesitant to water before lights off. Looking at past notes, the gnats showed up when I started watering 3 times a day so I may just opt for heavier waterings. There's definitely a sweet spot in coco between not enough water and getting fungus gnats. It's a fine line.
Temperatures are WAY above seasonal here (10c/50F almost all week) and the rain has kept the room humid (this is good). However, it seems the gnats have resurrected during this wet spell. I do want to start lowering temps and humidity soon so I'm hoping for some cooler temperatures outside.
You planted awesome genetics for real!!
GHSC and Ethos are the bests seedbanks

@gottagrowsometime, Thank you man. I had a great pheno out of 3 KTs last round...sadly didn't take any cuts. I don't think I got it this time because the keeper grew taller than these. Been running Ethos mostly for the last few grows and they've been impressive. Highly recommend
See the game last night, kicked some Boston butt all over the ice😀. Good goal tending and some hungry players, go # 13, GO JETS GO!!!! Going all the way this year!!!! UNSTOPPABLE!!
Plants look great 👌, should have some good herb in a few weeks. Finally got two coats of paint in the basement, suspended ceiling goes up next, then flooring and I'll be able to set-up my tent. Had to make a trip to the pot store, first time in a long time that I had to buy some herb, it's not the same, not even close 😑... GOTTA GROW!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
@Louder, Variety is the spice of life they say, so we'll mix it up a bit and see what happens, Lambs breath and Orange cake for sure, we'll see about the others when the time comes. Can't Wait!!
@Louder, Wheeler must be wondering WTF happened to this team😵, someone lit their JETS!! Let's hope they can keep it up..
Ordered a bunch of auto's from the Crop King, started my first grow with the King so I thought I'd try agin, plus they had a two for one sale so I loaded up. I have some Lamb's Breath,close to being my favourite and some new strains, Acapulco Gold, Hippie Crippler, Orange cake and I got a freebie package of 5 seeds, Kryptonite auto from Rocket seeds. There all sativa dominant strains except the Orange cake which is an Indica dominant strain that's supposed to grow big,sugar coated buds with a very citrus flavour and smell, so we'll see. I should be posting soon, just have to figure out which ones I grow first, TOUGH CHOICE😏, Lamb's Breath for sure!!
Smok'em if you got'em!!
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, should be a sight to see come January. Predicting a ton of purple. I've got pics of all of them in past diaries if you literally can't wait 😆
@RoidBlaze, I know it looks alarming, and that could be part of it, but the other 5/6 plants are thriving. It's just the one King's Tart and they all get the same treatment.
She's the closest to the fresh air intake (which is cold) and the oscillating fan so maybe it's that.
I'm going to flush anyway but I've had runoffs that error out the meter before with no hermies.
