4” filter upgrade help! Smell

Hey guys, I’m wondering what is a good recommended 4” filter for my tent? I got one that came with a fan, ducting and the filter off eBay but the filter is the shits. I had it vented in the room but the smell was brutal. It’s vented out the window under my deck, reeks there now.

they usually list how much carbon is in it... plus, the cfm's need to be considered. oftent imes teh cfm of the fan is above the filter in the combo kits you find on ebay. if you have a power control, turn it down, if possible. that will help with smell until then.
if you run it 100% of the time, they do wear out. only attach it when you have stink.

It is only a 3x3 tent the controller is dialled down all the way and a good negative pressure

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Tbh if ur carbon filter isnt coping u'll probably need a bigger one.. U can get a reducer to size up on ur fan tho to allow the 2 to fit correctly.. A 4"fan to 6"carbon filter shud make more difference.. B sure ur not getting any air leaks from anywer.. If ur filter is a budget 1(i buy these myself),it will need changing every 3months if its on constantly.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀

What's your tent? A 2x4? Vivosun has some good filters on Amazon at a good price. If your tent is bigger than a 2x4 you'll probably need a bigger extraction fan. What's the cfm rating of your 4 inch fan? My 6 is 460. And you gotta take it in to account that the fan loses cfm due to multiple factors like bends in tubing and also your attached filter. Uso un Lumatek attis 200w al 80% (160w) y mis plantas estan a 30cm de las puntas, la temperatura en las puntas es de 30-31 grados centígrados. Es verano y fuera hace 27 29 grados.

Best way to cool your tent/ growbox?So I’ve built a custom growbox using an IKEA wardrobe, air vent for intake, two circulating fans, carbon extractor exhaust, and a 600W LED grow light. My exhaust fan has no speed control and drops the humidity. I have my humidifier on almost full blast(not full blast because of i dont want it to overheat) a wet towel and a bowl of boiled water.
