When do you think the best time to start LST training on your auto flower plants, earlier or later to avoid disturbing the root crown?

Hey man good question. You're talking about LST here not HST. Lst is just bending and tying back the taller shoots to let the ones underneath gain some dominance other the central stem and shouldn't cause much of any harm to the plant. When you start from strain to strain can be a little different but you need a central stem long enough and enough substantial side/under shoots to benefit from this techie. So I would say similar to topping between 3rd and 5th node. 👍🌱Good luck!

Tie (or whatever your method is) an anchor in opposite direction that you bend the plant down and at base of apical meristem. If you shape the plant first to the point the tie down merely resists the plant's hydrostatic pressure, it doesn't have to be too stressfull on roots, plus anchor helps maintain position, which preserves roots over time. Hold the plant steady as you work. If the plant isn't getting too woody, it's always safer to wait a bit longer. Those are likely pretty robust judging on size at 14 days.

I would personally wait until she was a little taller and find alternate method of LST that won’t disturb the roots as to not induce any unnecessary stress on top of LST. Cheers 🍻
