What leaves are ok to remove?

Hi! Is it fine to remove the upper fan leaves on this plant as well or should I wait thill the side branches get bigger leaves? I removed the lowers leaves after LST so nothing touches the soil, but some of them are blocking a bit light for the new growth. Thanks!

I would strongly advise against removing any leaves from a plant that size, she needs every leaf she has to be making the energy she needs to grow. The new growths are relying on those leaves to make the energy they need to be able to grow! I am very anti defoliation - if the plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place! At this size/age, even one fan leaf is a large percentage of "energy making ability", so removing any will slow growth due to the lack of energy making potential. Your plant will grow its biggest and fastest with all of its leaves left on the plant, to make energy for that growth. Just remember - Less leaves = less energy = less growth. It is that simple! Your plant has evolved into a finely tuned growing machine based on efficiency. Removal of leaves is not part of your plants' plans. Try and only remove yellow leaves, for by the time they are yellow, they have served their purpose. In the mean time, try leaving every green leaf she has, to make the energy she needs to grow her biggest and fastest. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Thanks for the feedback. Wise words from @Organoman, didn't think about leaves = more energy to grow :) Will just let her be and grow bigger and just try to lst her wider the next coming weeks.

Everything Organoman said. Plants don't grow leaves for no reason. They will build your big buds if left.

Ola amigo, nesta fase e melhor não retirares folhas. Espera mais algum tempo, deixa a planta desenvolver mais um pouco.

At this point I wouldn't take away any leaves yet. they grow fast in this period, so my opinion is to wait a few more days. Also; as Oreganoman said; if the plant can miss it's leaves, it'll start to defoliate itself. I'm in my first grow and I only remove the leaves that have fallen off, I'm not removing any from the plant itself.

I would remove #3/#4 from the large pot. Open up light so they lower branches get rolling. IV done several leaving those top two and several removing and removing IMO has giving me a greater result. Keep up the good work.

I agree with oreganoman. Don’t defoliate anything yet. It’s too small. But he’s already given you the best advice.

I'd remove the big ones #1. Leave the little ones for now. You can always try tucking too until you feel better about pulling. ✌️
