defoliate during flowering

I defoliated the girls a week before I flipped. Now they are on their first week 12/12 cycle. The bushyness has bounced back right up and it's touching each other. should I leave it till flowering day 21 or cut back now, but I'm worry it will stunt any growth?

Hello Wow they really did bulk right back up! I would defoliate the bottoms now, do a good lollipop on all of them. Make sure any lst is done that can be and then do your final defo around 21 days. *if you have just a few leaves really blocking things up on the top i think i would just defoliate those few now for air and light, but then leave the rest for the 3rd week defo. Happy flowering.

I did a heavy defoliation before my 12/12 flip and then another in the middle of the third week of flower. Check out the diary for results. 🤟

Hiya DTaro! Everyone has different opinions on defoliation however this is my go to route. I typically defoliate the 1/3 lower of the plant and remove anything that won't get much light. Once I flip to 12/12 I let them sit and then remove the big fan leaves and anything covering budsites, at the end of week 2 flower. I then let the plat grow out until the last couple weeks where I pick a couple leaves off here and there until harvest. Cheers and good luck !
