A lot of red pistils and leaves dying around bud

She feels very dry and looks dead - there’s still a sticky feeling to her and her trichomes are there. This is the only place om the plant affected this badly... is this reason to chop? She looks more normal further down the stem.

Problem: two girls one tent, 40x40, an Auto and a Photo, both ~30 days old. Poor decisions and bad planning got me into this How would you proceed?Are there good options w/o killing one so the other could properly grow? Is it a good idea if I flip the light from 18 to 12 only when the Auto is done? Or my friend suggested to gradually reduce the light hours over the next two weeks to less stun the Auto? I'm having an exceptionally hard time telling how close or far from harvest based on my trichomes. My eyes maybe not what they used to be. I...seem to see a mix from clear clear all the way to some Amber's. I'm using a jewelers lope and also zoom through camera etc. Lil help?
