Dear Oldmanbud_50, Yes you can! Personally, I do hard defoliation at the week before flowering and on the 4th or 5th week of flowering. Besides those times, I just pluck away the ones shadowing the buds, or the below canopy. Check out my grow AK47.! Happy growing! Y

yes you can, they are only providing shade for that bud below, you still want to keep some on though as they do have a purpose but they can be removed to free up air flow so those buds cam grow in size and weight
