Is there really a point to dumping in a lot of really expensive nutrients just for mothers?

Hi @Dankezt! To me it's all about your medium: some soil bags will cover your plant's needs for months, you would only need to add some Nitrogen for an extended vegetative stage. But some light mixes or soiless mediums such as coco will really benefit from a good feeding schedule, with basic nutrients (N, P, K) and also various additives (humic, fulvic, molasses & sugars, amino acids, ...). A good way to reduce costs for mother plants is to go organic: by making & using your own compost you can give the plant everything it needs with only trashes from your kitchen/garden. Hope this makes sense, happy growing! 👊

You only need basic nutes to grow: veg and bloom plus maybe some cal mag depending on your water source. For mother plants you only need a veg nute.

Not when you'r using the full Fox farm line up. A mother needs between 1.2 to 1.4 Ec of grow nutrients , you can use nuts from the garden store as soon as it covered every needs of the plant ✌️🏼😁

Honestly not really! However your clones will only be as healthy as their mother! I personally pull good yields with basic nutrients 😎

no not really , just want to keep her healthy maybe boost her soil every 4 to 5 weeks... main thing is you want her to keep vegging well enough to be able to produce cuttings regularly... it's all about how you take a root the clones , really. does that make sense ? 🚀
