Light Defoliation

Looking for suggestions and opinions on "light defoliation". What percentage of leaves are removed during a light defoliation? This is for my short bushy Wedding Glue. Should I just remove the biggest fan leaves and call it a day? Thanks all!

No need for defol right now. You’re at a critical point you don’t want to hinder anything. You have a great even canopy. Let her be.

Why defoliate at all and for what reason? Are you having massive issues with excess humidity? Just remember........less leaves = less energy being made = less growth. Besides, if your plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place!

15-20% of the total plant is generally taken off during defoliation. Focus on defoliating 3 areas: - Large leaves around a big as the hand - Lower nodes that won't get light to promote airflow and increase yield. - Inward/center facing leaves as they tend to block bud sites more often. If you are unsure about a particular leaf, it's safer to leave it. You should defoliate as needed through veg but the big defoliate happens 2-3 days before flipping to flower as to give the plant some recover time before going through hormone changes.

If you're dead set on a defol atm I would just remove the oldest lowest fan leaves for now. Once she's done with her stretch is when I prefer to do my defol since she's basically done growing fan leaves at that point. Hope this helps.

I would remove the inside leaves to open it up to more light inside.
