hey Dan, what happens is that the lighting schedule affects the way the plant grows, seems obvious but... so what i'm trying to say is that a 24/0 ,or 22/2 means no dark periods basically and that's not something you find on earth. In fact the plant will end up sleeping in the light so it will establish it's own circadian rhythm, combine that with a metabolism on overdrive. with the metabolism n overdrive the plant will want for all sorts of different nutrients at a moment's notice. So Unless you know what you're doing it's going to be real hard to keep up ! Plus i don t really know what kind of light you're using but if you're using for example HPS it's lifetime is going to be considerably reduced . you'll want spares available, and this principle is the same for any type of light even LEDs basically. final consideration, light breaks down THC and terpenes so the most production of THC and terpenes happens in the dark, that's why you chop after a dark period. In my experience you're okay 24/0 in veg and 18/6 in flower, but at the end of the day it's a matter of taste, and maybe you feel up to the challenge ? havent seen anyone really do a good 24/7 grow yet, maybe that will be you ? so anyway sorry for the tough answer but it's the truth and that's my experience. Hope this helps ! 🚀

I think 18/6 would be the most closely you could come to the hours during a summer time without giving it the actual 12/12. I feel like i see a lot of people with the hid get great yields no matter the hours, so however you change it, either 20/4 or 18/6 at least you'd get a small break from electricity usage and hopefully a small difference in the day/night temps. I always think that all living things enjoy some dark period...whether they sleep during the day like Bulbi mentioned i cannot say, but i personally believe some darkness is good. ✌️
