Roots showing from top of soil ?So I'm not sure what's goin on here, the other plants aren't doing it but this big one in the middle is, the roots are coming out from the top of the soil and being exposed.
it happened earlier in the grow and I just added a layer of soil after watering.

water draining too fast - slow growthAlthough I spray water around the stem slowly, the water drainage was too fast, just spraying 20-30 ml of water and it drained right away in 2L (half a gal) pots - watered 100-150ml

Root Knot Nematode? Larvae? I think it killed this seedling.I found some type of critter crawling around what was left of the root of a dead seedling. Why should the tap root grow for some days before potting?Not a problem, but I'm eager to learn: Most tutorials recommend to let the tap root grow to about 2.5 cm before potting. Does anybody have a rationale for that? To me this sounds counter-productive (light protection for roots, correct orientation of seed). What am I missing?Week 1
