Depends on how large of a plant you are growing. That planter looks wider than deep, so it may impact height the plant reaches. 2.5-3gal is fine for autoflowers or a plant you put into bloom within a few weeks of sprouting. 50-150grams or so and you can go over that in many contexts without problems.
it'll air-prune itself. If you think it impacted size, get planters that are deeper rather than wider. 3-5gallon is plenty for most plants.
