When should I start tying down my new mains? Should I let them grow out more? I feel like if I tie them to early they would just point up towards the light the next day and I would have to tie down again.

Yes let them grow out a bit more then tie down. You want the new leaves to be established before topping again also. My last diary was mainline if you want to check it out. Good luck 🌱

I usually wait until the new growth shoots are at about 2-3 inches long (5-7.5cm) before tying them down just to let them develop and mature enough to handle the stress. This is very subjective depending on your desired result and how much you intend to maintain her daily (the earlier you tie her down then the more frequent you'll need to readjust) Hope this helps! good luck and happy growing!
