Hi there! Normally you should wait until 5-6 nodes has grown and this has been tested by growers and this is generally "safe spot" 'cos the plant has grown good root structure by then and can handle the huge stress that the start of the mainlining reguires (Stripping almost everything) Then you top to 3rd node and remove everything except the two branches in the third node and the supporting fan leafs

LST all you want but I'd wait for another two nodes or so to pop up before topping.

Your suppose to wait until the plant has grown six nodes, It is important to wait to allow the plant to develop six nodes before topping for the first time, if you top earlier than this you risk stunting the plant. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember " Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time ".

Should I switch reg to larger tent? Looking for opinions, first time mainlining Im currently mainlining a reg seed, confirmed fem, in my 27x27 tent, plan was to move it to the 3x3 once the last plant was harvested. Received my order of autos and am thinking of doing autos in the 3x3 instead. Just wondering if the 27”x27”x56” will be good for the reg?

Yellowing leaves after first Mainline top. Light stress?Just checking in here, I am pretty sure this is light stress. it was at 18" (specs say 18-24" during veg) and she was likely pretty stressed after having her top cut off!!! I have raised light to 23". Am I on the right track here?

How to top to make more colas (mainline)I was curious if anyone could help me understand how they train their plant to separate into like 7 or 8 different branches right down at the bottom of the stem. Almost looks like multiple topping on top of each. Any advice? Added a photo for more clarity.

Striping below the topping when manifolding? First time attempting Seen a million different videos and techniques, just curious what method is best when manifolding/mainlining. Some people strip everything below the 3rd node when they initially top, some leave the bottom growth. Stripping means the plant will focus on new growth up top im aware.

Are these plants ready for topping/LST? 2 have just gotten to 6th node and one to 5th (was planted 4-5 days after first two)Looking to top all three and potentially manifold at least one of these plants. Did I wait too long to top?I just topped, main-lined, and defoliated. The stem is about the thickness of a pencil, and the nodes are very tightly packed. The reason I waited so long to top was because I wanted to clone the cuttings and give them to a friend. My question is, did I wait too long to top?

Overenthusiastic Supercrop Think I overdid it with the supercropping. The worst branches hang below 90° but the growth seems healthy, everything turned up towards the sun the next day. I changed the worst so they're supported and less than 90°. Is there more I can do? A way to avoid splitting the skin ?
