hey Green , sorry to hear about the pest problem ! You need to go "all out" to get them ! but the problem in flowering is you can really use pesticides etc. So you need to combine techniques to kill them. First thing is to understand that they lay eggs in the soil, then they attack the leaves and fly around. So you want to kill the eggs and catch the adults. To kill the eggs you can use the biological method for example by using "beauveria bassiana" and "metarrhizium" which will contaminate the eggs and larvea and sterilise them. Or use the much quicker method of hydrochloric acid 3% diluted at 1/3 strength, which is a common flushing agent for example "cannaflush" (or others) contains this acids. It will "burn" the eggs and hopefully kill them. then you can buy horticulture sand and add a thick layer of sand to the soil so the thrips cant really lay their eggs easily, and the eggs inside the soil cant really come up from the soil easily. And finally you need to get sticky strips, like a lot of sticky strips and go crazy, and put them everywhere : on the soil , low down on the pots, and at various heights in the grow room, really hang them everywhere you can, hopefully you can catch all the adults and catch the young adults before they really lay eggs. With these techniques hopefully you see improvements very quickly and hopefully withing 2 weeks you will have the outbreak under control again. Hope this helps ! πŸš€

Hello, As if you are in flowering stage its alittle tricky, but not impossible. Mother Nture has a lot of stuff for us. Its abacteria called Vactinomycete Saccharopolyspora spinosa... this bacteria stopps the multipication of the thrips, and it kills the living thrips too. It does not harm humans. But its recommend for indoors , because other insects could be effected too.( it should be sve to bees but who knows ) ok that is the only one i can recommend. For the next outdoor i recommend some ladybugs, those lil ones work wnderful in eating a lot of different bugs you dont want to. You got to break te circle of egge larvae and thrips so you have to be patient. and try combination of different remedies Like BT ( bacillius thuringiensis into the soil, spinosad as spray and after a time some ladybugs( of for the next grow). Stay strong.... happy growing

Hey so there's a few different versions of thrips...that's one problem. But for attacks sake and time as well, neem probably is out by the 3rd week of flowering. Theres a product called "green cleaner" it is also very good at attacking pm and mites, and is a safer option. Basically any horticultural oil and insecticidal soap would work like that Monterey brand which is pretty easily available. But i think i may agree that if you got the pyrethrins readily available that may be the best thing. If you're only seeing minimal flying and most activity at the soil and trunk level you could get away with a heavy spray of neem+green cleaner and off theyll go and then catch the few adults that survive with traps like others mentioned. After they're gone, for sanities sake you could rinse off the plant to help do away with any lingering product or aroma...which ever you choose. Good luck with the battle. ✌️

You could use either product but to be honest I would use neem , I wouldnt go ham and spray it all over the plant because your going to make your flowers taste like that and honestly who wants that . This isnt going to go away with one treatment tho , your are likely going to have to do this for 2-3 weeks being as they are so advanced now .I would also advise you dilute the neem to the ratio of 1 part neem 8 parts water and spray the top of your soil this will ensure that you catch all the eggs and larva that are nesting in the medium as well as prevent anything new from coming up . If you are diligant and take your time spraying all your room , all your leaves (try not to go to hard near bud sites) you should see a vast improvement relatively quick . I would also recommend need at this point because altho it smells bad and would taste bad on a bud its not as bad as some of the chemical based products out there . I hope this information helps shed some light into your grow -Happy Growing!
