No. I did that once and had no adverse effect yield wise, other than it was a pain to water the pot.

I have been watering with peroxide as it breaks down into o2 in the soil, thinking this plus cloth grow bags will keep the roots breathing good. Peroxide also dissolves nutrient salts. Not sure if that is good or bad? Does anyone have experience or insight using peroxide?
