root rot or just discoloration due to Nutrients and cha Ching. The pics are of 3 plants. The roots have always had a dark color from fox farm nutrients and when I move them Sediment comes off the roots. I just started using hydro guard to be safe but they look healthy thank you.

Buckets are painted black and roots are not slimy or smelly. Just a bit brown

Looks like they may have some issues. Is light getting through your bucket and hitting the roots? Fix that. Spray paint, wrap in foil, whatever you need to do to stop light from getting in. Root rot tends to be slimy and stinky. Hydroguard will fix that up if that's what's wrong. If they aren't slimy and don't smell like decay, it's probably just staining.

I don’t grow in hydro, but from what I know from others fellows if the roots are slimy and/or jelly it is rot roots. If not, it’s the nootz from the solution.
