I have recently seen other growers partially harvest their plants. I understand the theory behind it, the lower buds get a chance to mature and bulk up. I am looking for growers that have experience in this and whether it is worth it and how you went about doing it.

Hi @GrowingisFunkO! I've done this in the past and had nice results with the lowest bud sites getting more dense and frosty. Plus I have the feeling that cutting the main stem creates an intense stress and generates more trichomes very quickly on the remaining buds. The only problem is that you need have a drying room ready, whereas most of us, homegrowers, do use their grow tent as a drying tent. I would recommend to try by yourself, sometimes if the lowest parts of the plant are in the darkness, this is the only chance to make them fatten up. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

Only.worth it if you have the time and resources. Most of the bud growth should have happened already. Harvesting the bottom later wont really add much weight. The buds will mature more, but with a properly trained plant (way easier said than done haha) you shouldnt need that extra time because light should have gotten to those bottom sites. If you have the time you should try it out and let us know how it turns out 😃!! Good luck and happy growing!🍀💪

In my eyes it’s not worth it. If you compare the weight of the buds you get VS power consumed doesn’t seem very efficient. I would just set make hash/ bubble hash or oil or rosin. Good luck with whatever you decide
