It is the end of 9th week (5th of flowering) and the hairs are becoming curled and brown. Now, I cannot see if thricomes are milky because I have no microscope so my question is: how can I understand when to flush the plants? Is it now the right time or should I wait a week more?

They are not ready just yet. Flowering can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks. A good rule of thumb is to wait until most of the white pistils have turned an amber color or curled. However this is NOT the most reliable and effective way to judge harvest time. I would recommend going onto amazon.com and buying a jewelers loupe. They cost around $10-$15 and can help you see the tricomes on the plants leaves and bud. When either all the hairs have turned reddish in color or half of the tricomes have clouded than go ahead and flush out the growing medium for no less than 7 days or until most of the fan leaves have yellowed. Good luck on your grow. I will check on in if you have any other questions.

I wouldn’t start flushing yet as you calyxes haven’t shown signs of swelling yet. When I misplace my loupe (happens way too often). I will take pictures with my phone and zoom in to see if the trichs are turning milky. But as I said before you’ve got a while before your there don’t rush it as you’ve gotten it this far and the best things to happen to your plants come in the very end. This is when the buds gain their weight and convert into thc. If you cut them too early you’ll lose both

Yes you can start flushing now (at least 10 days), since your buds are showing 50% brown/curled pistils. But honestly, you won't be able to find the perfect harvest window unless you got yourself a tiny handheld microscope/magnifier. Even the cheapest one will be useful, you can buy it for 3$ on any marketplace like AliExpress/Amazon/Bangood.. Believe me, you won't regret this "investment"! I'll be around, good luck with these beauties!
