Cream mandarine auto

the plant starts to gain and there is not enough space in my box. the lower flowers receive some light, but not enough. Should I defoliate the leaves or not?

That's a nice and big looking auto, congrats. I would try and use some LST to allow better airflow and light though. just tie the branches down and fan the plant out. The option of defoliation is there but Autos do go into shock easily, if this was to go into shock it may have diminished yields. If you where really stuck on the idea of it, Only removed 10% or less of leaves. Its going to require a lot of them to grow big. Plus defoliation should only be used to increase airflow and light penetration. Again I don't think I would do that on this plant though. Increase airflow and light by LST, spread em out. Defoliating autos will set harvest back due to stress. I would tuck all I could.

I would just fold and tuck them in to let light in. Autos can be fussy when stressed.
