Hey man your soil is too wet or humidity is too high milf need these two things to produce you can scrape the mood off the top surface with a spoon and lightly spray half vinegar half water mix onto the top of the soil but only to lightly cover it not water with it and its should help keep the mold away, Try to keep your soil abit dryer and humidity abit lower

Looks more like mycorhize to me. But could be wrong. Molds tend to smell sour, mycorhize tends to smell earthy and like mushrooms. If you touch it and its powdery on your hands, then I'd say its mold. If it just compacts into the medium and does not come off I'd say its mycorhize, not a fool proof test just a basic one. Is the new brand fortified with any mycorhize? Or is any of your nutrients your adding have any? Best to link your diary that this is about. Good Luck!
