1 seed...2 seedlings came out. What's next?

I recently germinated a seed that produced two seedling instead of one. A day after the first one came up a second seedling came out. What do you experienced growers do in a situation like this?
Solved
Germination. Substrate

Every twin seedling I have grown out, even when reduced to the strongest one, has turned into a hermie or other wierdo that either did not grow properly or flower properly. These days any twins get culled by me. I think the genetic flaw caused by being a twin continues throughout the plants entire life, causing all sorts of weirdness at flowering time. Keep the biggest sprout if you are keen for an experiment, just cut the smaller one off, however, don't be surprised if it does weird things later in life though. Although I have only had twin seedlings a few times over the last 35+ years, it seems more common in auto flowers, another reason for me to be anti autos and more justification for deciding to never grow them again! Life is too short to deal with weird seedlings/genetics! These days I only grow on 100% normal seedlings and I am rather ruthless when it comes to weirdos or genetic mutants. But it is up to you what you do. In week 7 of my diary "cannabis conundrums" you can find pictures of a twin seedling and the hermaphrodite flowers it produced, for further evaluation/reference. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Thanks for the advise everyone. I tried attaching a photo but it didn't work. I have a picture of it in my Blackberry & Forbidden Runtz Round 2 grow journal. Im going to snip the weaker one today and see what happens... out of the two seeds I germinated, this was the one I was looking forward too as it's the Forbidden Runtz seed 🔥🔥🔥

Agree with stix too. let em grow for a bit and when its obvious which is the strong one, just cut the weaker one off near the ground and grow out the stronger one.

I agree with Wicked Stix. Pinch or cut off the weaker of the two. Do NOT try to pull it. Just snip the stem. Without the leaves it will die. If it's an auto I would pinch off the second sprout now because it is stealing nutrients from the other and could hurt yield. If it's a photo period plant you can wait until you get the first true leaves to make sure which is the stronger and weaker. Usually the first emerged will be the stronger.

I let them grow for about a week and kill the weaker seedling. Some people try to separate them but you risk killing both of them and the weaker seedling usually fails to thrive anyway.
